My Second Photoshoot

I did two separate shoots on the same day, with separate models in each and created a plan to send to all the participants.

This shoot was more reliant on natural light and I used far less equipment. I changed the shutter speed on my camera to 1/125th of a second and switched between this and 1/500 trying to adjust the light and get the best quality.

FINAL RESULTS (1)

- Colour scheme matched to outfit and background

- Mid-shot composition

- Naturally lit

This is my second front cover image and contents page image, I wanted the subject to be happy to contrast with the more serious topics on the cover so that it seems more manageable and a less overwhelming take on leaning into adulthood and in the second image I wanted to position the model closely with the reader, allowing him to be seen in a more relaxed way.

I'm pleased with the results and intend to create a formal but inviting take on workplace fashion and being the best version of yourself.

FINAL RESULTS (2)

This shoot was indoors and I found this far more challenging as I didn't have access to professional lighting and had to continuously adjust the camera settings to adapt. I smoothed out his facial features in photoshop and lightened the image to maintain an airy and fun feel.

I wanted to have an in-action shot of Niall cooking food to anchor to the healthy eating, food section of the magazine he features on.

I had a friend to direct him on how to cook tofu and so he went through the motions in real time as I captured the evidence.

SHOOT 3 (Website)

These images are to use for the mental health element of my website, promoting male friendships, I wanted a more candid genuine feel to the images. I decided on black and white for something that stuck out amongst all the colour on my website to highlight the seriousness and importance of the topic. I'm less pleased with these images as they're of a poorer quality but I feel they're still good enough to be put to use on the website.
